This week’s #instaweanteam theme was international week. There was no way I couldn’t show off our beautiful little island the Isle of Man so I have made Manx Bonnag. People from the Isle of Man are ‘manx’ and Bonnag is a traditional bread-like breakfast or tea-time sweet loaf native to the Isle of Man. I have made a classic bonnag but you can also make it fruit free, with different fruit, with chocolate chips, with cinnamon or spices……. It’s really versatile. My mummy makes bonnag all the time and it’s lovely. We used to make it at school. I’ve listed a classic recipe here for you to try. I only used 20g of sugar but it probably could’ve gone with none at all!! Please please tag me if you try it – if love to see 😊😊😊 I used all local fresh produce for this loaf 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 (apart from sultanas, sugar and bicarb)
